Election Results: Leaders In The New Hope-Solebury School Board Race
Contested county, township, borough and school board races on the ballot today.

NEW HOPE, PA — The polls have officially closed across Bucks County on the May 16 Primary Election in Pennsylvania. Patch will be updating the numbers throughout the evening as the numbers are tallied.
Republican and Democrat voters in the New Hope area went to the polls today to select their candidates for the New Hope-Solebury School Board, the New Hope Borough Council and Bucks County races for coroner and commissioner.
The races feature a battle on the Democratic ticket for Bucks County coroner between incumbent Meredith Buck and challenger Patti Campi. The coroner's office is based in Warminster.

Buck is running on her record as coroner for the past three years, saying she guided her office through the pandemic and also launched a program to bring proper military burials to unclaimed veterans.
Campi is campaigning to share county-specific data regarding the opioid crisis and mental health issues faced by residents of Bucks County.

For Bucks County Commissioner, there is a contested race on the Republican ticket for two seats with incumbent Gene DiGirolamo, Bucks County Controller Pamela A. Van Blunk and former Bucks County Commissioner Andrew L. Warren running for the party's nomination for November.
New Hope Borough Council
On the Democratic ballot, Eric Burnside is challenging incumbents Ken Maisel, Laurie McHugh and Louise Feder for the party's nomination for three open seats on the New Hope Borough Council. There were no Republicans on the ballot.
New Hope-Solebury School Board
In a highly-contested race for school board, eight cross-filed candidates are vying for five open, four year seats on the school board. The candidates are: Montu Patel, John Augenblick, Donald Martin Jr., Nik Heble, Linda Szwedo, Judy McHenry Finn, Jason Koye and Ronald Felix. They cross-filed on both the Democratic and Republican ballots.
Polls opened at 7 a.m. and closed at 8 p.m. Results by the Bucks County Board of Elections are unofficial.

Incumbent council members Ken Maisel, Laurie McHugh and Louise Feder lead the vote count for the Democratic ballot for borough council. Eric Burnside is trailing in the count.
