The Third Way: Changing a Career in Two Steps
This is not so much a way to identify a new career as a way to move into that career once you have figured out where you want to go next. How exactly do you change careers in two steps? Well, let’s start with a definition: a job is a job-title in a field. That means a job has two parts: title and field. Title is really a symbol for what you do. Field is where you do it or what you do it with.
By doing career-change in two steps, each time you make a move you are able to legitimately claim that you’ve had prior experience. Identify your field, companies and industry (first move). The second move is within current employer or a new employer in your field of choice.
