Here's How To Watch Odette's Big Move On Wednesday

Odette's will be relocated Wednesday. If you want to watch the historical building's trek, you'll have to plan ahead. Here's what to know:

NEW HOPE, PA — Odette's will be relocated Wednesday and if you want to watch the historical building's trek, you'll have to plan ahead.

According to New Hope Borough Police, there will be four areas for spectators to observe the building's relocation. Those areas are:

  • South Main Street in the area of "Boomer" the sculpture
  • Riverwoods Drive near New Street
  • Windy Bush Road (Rt. 232) at South Main Street
  • S. River Road, just south of Odette's

But if you want to watch, you'll need to get there before the road is closed. River Road/Main Street will be closed from Aquatong Road to Bridge Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Police will start detouring traffic as early as 8:30 a.m. During the closure, traffic will be detoured via Bridge Street, Rt. 202, and Aquatong Road.

"No vehicles, pedestrians, or spectators will be will be permitted on South Main Street or the sidewalks from Boomer to Odette's once the roads are closed," according to an announcement from police.

All of the viewing areas are on the road, and can only be accessed by spectators once traffic has been stopped and detoured, police said. A 200-foot perimeter barricade will be set up surrounding the relocation activity area. Only authorized personnel will be allowed to enter the activity area.

Odette's is being moved down the road to make way for a new luxury boutique hotel that will be going up at the site. The plans call for a 54,000 square-foot luxury boutique hotel with 34 guest rooms and suites, a rooftop lounge with an open-air bar, and Odette's Restaurant and Lounge, which will feature indoor and outdoor seating, a piano bar, and cabaret.
