NEW HOPE, PA — For residents of New Hope, it's no secret how beautiful, enriching and friendly the town is. But it seems increasingly, others are catching on.

Earlier this spring it was USA Today who praised New Hope, naming it a finalist in a nationwide competitionfor the best small town in the Northeast. (New Hope won second place when voting concluded on April 24.)

Now it's "House Beautiful" magazine shining the spotlight on New Hope. In a piece published May 26, "Beautiful Small Towns We Want To Live In," New Hope was selected for Pennsylvania. The feature highlighted one small town per state.

New Hope is the classic town with deep roots to the arts community. It's long attracted artists (since the early 20th century) who loved the scenery along the Delaware River. Actors also loved the town - and still do. The Bucks County Playhouse has been the stage for performers ranging from Grace Kelly to Audra McDonald and is an excellent spot to catch a show. Though many residents are from New York City (or even commute there), they find no reason to leave the town in search of a great night of entertainment.
