LAHASKA, PA — Bucks County small business owner Karen Thompson knows first-hand the perseverance needed to construct and run a business as a woman.
What started as a small shop called Lace Silhouettes Lingerie, a Lahaska business dedicated to uplifting women through beautiful, personal pieces, has turned into LSL, a successful multi-store brand that has locations in Pennsylvania and in New Jersey.
"International Women’s Month is a time for reflection and celebration," said Thompson. "Women have been able to accomplish so much, and this month is about remembering those who have paved the way for future generations and celebrating all the feats women continue to conquer every day."

Thompson and her team wore white and denim on March 10 in celebration of the month and the long history of women paving the way.
In addition, the company donated $1,000 to the Salvation Army's Female Emergency Shelter Fund (SAFES), a sector of the Salvation Army dedicated to supporting women who are survivors of domestic violence, homelessness, and those at risk of homelessness.

This month is especially important to women-owned businesses like Lace Silhouettes Lingerie because it is not only a time for them to reflect on their own journey, but uplift other women who need support.
Reflecting back, Thompson says, “I am grateful for what my team and I have accomplished thus far and look forward to the future of not only our business but the future of women all over.”
For more than 35 years, Thompson and her team have been committed to making a difference in the community and it has been their mission to uplift others through philanthropic donations and events.
Through donations like this, Thompson and her team hope to inspire other women to take a chance on themselves and chase their dreams. Thompson hopes that her story and support can help others take that leap toward greatness and pave a successful future for themselves and others.
