Man Tries To Pay With Counterfeit $100 Bill At Solebury Rite Aid: Police
A New York man who tried to pass counterfeit money at a Solebury Township Rite Aid was arrested Monday, police said.

SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, PA — A New York man who tried to pass counterfeit money at a Solebury Township Rite Aid was arrested Monday, police said.
It happened at the Rite Aid on Rt. 202, where officers were dispatched after a report of someone trying to pass a suspected counterfeit $100 bill. Witnesses told police a black male, later identified as Eligio Mateo, fled the store on foot after being questioned by employees in regards to the legitimacy of the bill.
A Rite Aid employee described the suspect and his getaway vehicle, which was communicated over police radio. An officer with the Buckingham Township Police Department located the car and passenger matching the description in the area of Route 413 and Route 263.

Mateo, 20, from Bronx, N.Y., was identified by a store employee as the same person who passed the counterfeit bill, police said.
He was taken into custody, arraigned and sent to Bucks County prison after being unable to post bail, which was set at 10 percent of $50,000.
