New Restaurant Brings Fresh From The Sea Sushi To New Hope
My favorite of the night was by far Sweet Paradise, made with fresh blue crab and avocado topped with torched salmon, tobiko and scallion.

NEW HOPE BOROUGH, PA — Being a sushi lover, I had to check out New Hope’s latest restaurant addition.
After covering the lighting ceremony at the Bucks County Playhouse Saturday night, I walked the short distance over to the new Nozomu Sushi at 9 West Mechanic Street, which opened last Friday.
Just inside the door, patrons are greeted by a fresh from the sea sushi bar where you can sit down and enjoy Japanese favorites being prepared right before your eyes.

Upstairs, the restaurant boasts three distinct spaces to enjoy your meal - a front dining room, a back dining room and a private outside deck.
But it was the food that I came here to try.

Due to an expiring parking meter, which they tend to do especially when you’re having a good time, I ordered my food to go.
My selections included two signature rolls - Sweet Paradise and Dynamite. I also ordered the mango avocado roll from the vegetarian menu for my dessert treat.
My favorite of the night was by far Sweet Paradise, made with fresh blue crab and avocado topped with torched salmon, tobiko and scallion and finished with sweet nozomu and eel sauce.
The dish lives up to its name - and more. The sweetness of the crab and the fresh flavor of the avocado made for a delectable taste combination. I will definitely be returning for more Sweet Paradise.
I also enjoyed the Dragon, made with shrimp tempura, eel, avocado, cream cheese, fire sauce and flash fried tempura.
It was another taste sensation with a delicious combination of textures and tastes. Seeing the word “fire” in its description gave me some pause, but they were happy to take the "fire" out of the lineup.
I finished off my meal with the mango and avocado vegetarian roll, which is just as the name implies. It was deliciously fresh and the perfect end to a very delicious meal.
The menu also includes 11 different appetizers; 15 classic rolls; nine vegetarian rolls; five different house salads (seaweed, sashimi, poke and spicy kani); 14 different signature rolls, including the New Hope, the Mechanic Street, and the Naritoi; five sushi/sashimi selections; and nine a la carte items, ranging from sake salmon and hamachi yellowtail to tako octopus and unagi eel.

Oh, and by the way, the host and hostesses were awesome, making everyone who walked through the door feel comfortable, relaxed and feeling extra special.
In my humble opinion, this is an awesome new addition to New Hope’s restaurant scene. I’m confident you’ll enjoy the experience and I’m sure you’ll enjoy the food.
