Democrats Lead Contested Race For New Hope-Solebury School Board
Five Democrats are ahead in the vote for seven open seats on the school board. A Democrat also leads in the race for Solebury supervisor.

NEW HOPE, PA — With most, if not all of the precincts reporting in the New Hope-Solebury area, Democrats are leading the race for five open seats on the New Hope-Solebury School Board and for an open seat on the Solebury Township Board of Supervisors.

Another closely watched race is for Solebury Township Supervisor as Democrat Christy Cheever and Republican John DeAndrea vie for a six year seat on the board. Here are the numbers:

6-Year Term, Vote for 1
John DeAndrea (R) 1,333
New Hope Borough Council
There were no contested races for New Hope Borough Council. Democrat Michelle Becci ran unopposed for a two-year seat on council. Also running unopposed for three, four year seats were Democrats Louise Feder, Ken Maisel and Kelly Whitman.
