Democrats Lead Contested Race For New Hope-Solebury School Board

NEW HOPE, PA — With most, if not all of the precincts reporting in the New Hope-Solebury area, Democrats are leading the race for five open seats on the New Hope-Solebury School Board and for an open seat on the Solebury Township Board of Supervisors.

All results from the Bucks County Board of Elections are unofficial.

New Hope-Solebury School Board

4-Year Term, Vote for 5

John Augenblick (D/R) 3,309

Montu Patel (D/R) 3,094

Judy McHenry Finn (D/R) 3,086

Linda Swedo (D) 2,977

Nik Hebel (D) 2,945

Ron Felix (R) 1,508

Donald Martin Jr. (R) 1,488

Another closely watched race is for Solebury Township Supervisor as Democrat Christy Cheever and Republican John DeAndrea vie for a six year seat on the board. Here are the numbers:

Solebury Township Supervisor

6-Year Term, Vote for 1

Christy Cheever (D) 2,286

John DeAndrea (R) 1,333

New Hope Borough Council

There were no contested races for New Hope Borough Council. Democrat Michelle Becci ran unopposed for a two-year seat on council. Also running unopposed for three, four year seats were Democrats Louise Feder, Ken Maisel and Kelly Whitman.
