Route 263 In Solebury To Reopen After Major Rebuilding Project
PennDOT contractors are putting the finishing touches on the major nine month road rebuilding project between River and Centre Bridge roads.
SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP — Weather permitting and barring any unforeseen development, a section of Route 263 washed out by the remnants of Hurricane Ida a year ago is expected to reopen Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning, Sept. 26 or 27.
PennDOT contractors are putting the finishing touches on the major nine month road rebuilding project between River and Centre Bridge roads.
A significant section of the roadway was washed out by the remnants of Hurricane Ida last year. Major repairs got under way in January.

The work required installation of pile beams to support a new retaining wall on the east side of Route 263, design and construction of a new culvert and drainage system, and construction of a new surface and guide rail along 800 feet of roadway.
