Solebury Police Warn Of 'Irate' Phone Scammers
When one resident declined services, the scammer became "irate" and continued to harass and threaten the resident, Solebury Police said.

Police in Solebury are warning of phone scammers who have become irate with local residents who aren't falling for their shenanigans.
According to police, the scammers claim to be computer technicians associated with well-known companies.
"They say they’ve detected a virus on your computer, offer you services or even refunds for services. They will claim to be tech support and will ask for remote access to your computer or other devices," according to police.

This is a scam, and residents should not accept services, even if the scammers get mad.
When one resident smartly declined services, the scammer became "irate," Solebury police said. "This scammer continued to harass and threaten the resident."

Police remind residents that if they get an unexpected call, spam email or other urgent message about your computer, "don’t click on any links, don’t give control of your computer or device and don’t send or accept any money."
