No suspects had been identified as of Tuesday evening, Northampton Police Chief Mike Clark said during a news conference.
Authorities were called to the scene of the quiet suburban neighborhood around 10 a.m. Tuesday after a painter who was working outside the home went inside to go to the bathroom. It was there he found the bodies of a husband and wife on the second floor, Clark said.

The victims have not yet been identified pending notification of family, but authorities say they are in their late 20s or early 30s. Law enforcement in Northampton Township has had no contact with them since they moved into the neighborhood about a year ago, Clark said.
Police are looking for a missing car belonging to a victim. A description of that car has not yet been released by authorities.
Additional police patrols will be instituted in the neighborhood throughout the week.
Residents should be vigilant. "I can't say don't be alarmed. You should be alarmed," Clark said.
