"We start by using a homemade vanilla base recipe using the freshest ingredients from local farms. By pouring the vanilla base onto a cold plate, the ice cream base solidifies into the texture of ice cream, during that process is when the magic happens! While the vanilla base slowly chills into ice cream, we mix and mash your favorite cookies, fruits and sweets into the ice cream to give it the best and most direct flavors," a post in the Newtown Patch calendar said.

Rolled ice cream is a relatively new phenomenon in the United States, but is popular in Thailand. In a January 2018 report, CBS News did a feature on it, calling it "the hot new dessert."

The Salt Cave, with a location in Doylestown, will be opening in Newtown soon. The Salt Cave will be located on State Street, across the street from The Temperance House. It is expected to open in September, business representatives tell Patch.

The therapeutic salt cave uses pink Himalayan salt to offer relief for numerous conditions, including asthma, allergies, depression, common colds, cystic fibrosis, acne, arthritis, and more, according to its website. It is known as Halotherapy.
