LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA — Registration is now being taken for this year’s September 11th Memorial 5K Run to be held on Sunday, Sept. 18 at the Garden of Reflection, Pennsylvania’s official 9-11 Memorial in Lower Makefield.

The event will commemorate the lives lost and the heroic acts of first responders on 9-11 while benefiting the endowment to preserve the Garden of Reflection memorial for future generations. To date, the event has raised more than $200,000 toward the fund.

The garden is designed to be a journey starting with the darkness of that day, represented by steel remnants from the World Trade Center, to the light, represented by twin fountains cascading toward the heavens.
