A Woman’s Place (AWP) is a local nonprofit that provides support services for domestic abuse victims and their children. Services include a free 24-hour confidential hotline, a shelter, counseling, legal and medical advocacy, and a children’s program. It is the only organization in Bucks County committed solely to assisting victims of domestic violence.
Jenny Salisbury, AWP development director, said the Chocolate Lovers' Fantasy fundraiser originated 16 years ago as a Valentine's Day event, and has grown ever since. According to organizers, last year’s Chocolate Lovers’ Fantasy event raised almost $86,000 for AWP.

“At a time where organizations and individuals alike are facing economic challenges nationwide, many generous corporations and individuals have shown their support for AWP by sponsoring the sweetest event in the area,” event organizers said in a statement.
In addition to refreshments and entertainment, the event will feature a silent auction which will include baskets containing spa items, cooking tools, baking items, jewelry, and more. There will also be a live auction in which attendees can bid on Phillies and Eagles tickets, vacations, a fishing trip, and more.
Organizers expect about 300 attendees.
“This event is a true example of the strong support AWP receives from the surrounding community. Chocolate Lovers’ Fantasy is a prefect pre-Valentine’s Day date, a fun-filled girls’ night out, or just a great reason to join others from the area to support an organization that provides essential support and services to victims of domestic violence, their children, and the community,” organizers said in a statement.
Individual tickets to the event are $75. For information on tickets and sponsorship opportunities, click here.
Even if you can’t make it, you can still show your support. Tickets for the “Destination: Your Choice” fantasy raffle are $20. The winner receives a weeklong vacation to their choice of Tahoe, Las Vegas, or Orlando. The fantasy raffle winner will also receive roundtrip airfare for two as part of the package. According to organizers, the winner must be at least 18 years old and does not need to be present at the drawing to win.
