Snacks By The Lb. Relocates to Newtown

After 14 years in Feasterville, Snacks By The Lb. has relocated to Newtown. The shop is located in the Whitehall Building, 127 S. State Street.

Owners Tracey and Larry Laiken, of Lower Southampton  have a combined 44 years in the candy and gift business. They relocated to the bustling State Street address in order to join with other great businesses and fantastic people who make up the borough of Newtown.        

Renowned for its homemade fudge in a variety of flavors, the newly renovated 1,000-squar-foot retail shop also offers a full line of sugarless candy, as well as a huge selection of candies, nuts, chocolates, gourmet pretzels plus old fashion novelty and nostalgic items.

In addition, Snacks By the Lb. custom designs and assembles trays, pyramids and gift baskets on a daily basis. “You can purchase one of our beautiful ready-made custom gift baskets or have us design something special to meet your fancy,” said Larry Laiken. We are here to please.”

The new Newtown candy store is open seven days a week. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
