BCCC Students Hold Peace Rally After Dec. 1 Campus Disturbance: Report
A man and woman were removed from the college's Newtown campus last week after a "demonstration" caused a disturbance.

Students at Bucks County Community College held a peace rally Tuesday in response to the Dec. 1 incident that led to two people being removed from the Newtown campus due to a disturbance stemming from the pair's "demonstration."
The Bucks County Courier Times reports roughly 40 students came together Tuesday with signs promoting love and acceptance.
The college's Student Government Association organized the rally, the outlet reports.

On Thursday, Dec. 1, a man and woman were on the campus wearing clothes and holding signs that threatened a long list of people with damnation if they did not "obey Jesus" as part of what Newtown Township Police called a "demonstration."
Neither were students, police and college officials said.

Police said crowd of students had gathered around the two to protest the demonstration, which led to a student damaging the used in the demonstration. Police said no one was injured in the incident.
"Let me state in the strongest terms that Bucks County Community College is an academic institution that values individual expression," Bucks County Community College President Dr. Stephanie Shanblatt said last week in response to the incident. "We embrace the diversity of our student body, faculty and staff, our county and our country. We recognize the fact that people have differing views, and welcome opinions expressed in an atmosphere of mutual respect."
