Bomb Squad Called To Bucks Co. Democratic Committee Offices
The package, sent to the Bucks County Democratic Committee offices in Doylestown, was ultimately found to be harmless.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A bomb squad was called to the Bucks County Democratic Committee offices in Doylestown Thursday for the report of suspicious package, according to authorities. The investigation, which found the package to be harmless, closed a portion of E. Court Street for more than an hour.
According to information from the Bucks County District Attorney's Office, Central Bucks Regional Police were called to 44 E. Court Street and "out of an abundance of caution" evacuated and secured the immediate area. Local officials contacted the FBI, the Montgomery County Bomb Squad, and the Bucks County Hazardous Incident Response Team.
Bucks County Detectives were also on scene and prepared to assist. The road was closed between Pine and Broad streets during the investigation.

The bomb squad arrived to the area around 1 p.m. and entered the building. The item initially suspected as looking suspicious was a white business envelope with no return address, officials said. Authorities analyzed it and found it contained several pieces of paper.
After a brief investigation, the package was determined to be harmless, and no threatening or hazardous materials were located. Authorities cleared the scene at about 1:45 p.m. and the road reopened.
