A suspicious suitcase left in a parking lot of a Newtown business prompted a response from the Philadelphia Bomb Squad last week.
According to Newtown Township Police, officers were dispatched to the area of Keystone Answering Services on Friends Lane at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 14 after someone reported finding a suitcase in the middle of the parking lot as they were leaving the building.
Police reviewed the surveillance video, which showed an unknown woman placing the suitcase down in the parking lot before walking away and looking back at it "several times" as she left.

"Due to the suspicious circumstances and safety concerns, police cleared the area and contacted the Philadelphia Bomb Squad," police said.
Authorities were able to determine that the contents of the suitcase were not hazardous.

Police did not reveal what was found in the suitcase.
