Teen Dies In Thanksgiving Day Crash In Bucks County

Police in Bucks County say an 18-year-old was ejected from his car after a Thanksgiving Day accident in Upper Makefield Township.

An 18-year-old died in a single-car crash on Thanksgiving Day in Bucks County, Upper Makefield police said.

According to police, the accident happened around 7 p.m., when the male teen lost control of the 2014 BMW he was driving on Brownsburg Road East towards Stoneybrook Road.

Police said the driver, who has not yet been identified, was ejected and died at the scene. His passenger, also 18, was not seriously injured.

The car was ”traveling at a high rate of speed” when he lost control in the area of the bridge before Stoneybrook Road. The car hit a utility pole, signs, and a culvert, causing him to be ejected.

“The accident remains under investigation and we are exploring whether alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the accident,” Upper Makefield Police said.
