Brick Hotel Owner Says It's Not For Sale, Agent Says Otherwise
The Brick Hotel is not for sale, owners tell Patch, despite an active listing through Ahia Commercial Real Estate.

The Brick Hotel is not for sale, owners tell Patch, despite an active listing through Ahia Commercial Real Estate.
Owner Verindar Kaur says the Brick Hotel is not for sale. "It is a mistake. It is an error," she told Patch Monday.
However, agent Chichi E. Ahia says it's no mistake and he's "confused and disappointed" by Kaur's assertions the property is not available.

"To be clear, our firm was in fact solicited and retained by the ownership of the Brick Hotel to solicit offers for sale and/or lease. The listing agreements that were signed by the ownership not only authorized, but mandated our efforts. Our assignment has been clear since the outset," Ahia said in a statement to Patch.
Kaur called the listing agreement "incomplete."

As of noon on Monday, the listing remained active through the real estate firm's site.
Ahia said the firm has scheduled a private meeting with the owners.
"At that time, I will decide if this is a project that our firm can continue to commit to work on. Obviously, the recent airing of the national television program which featured the Brick Hotel did not cast the ownership in the best light. Our efforts on the owner's behalf have been and continue to be to avoid the reinforcement of this message."
Kaur said the restaurant and inn is seeking an operating partner, not a new buyer. She said the decision to find an operating partner had nothing to do with the recent "Hotel Hell" episode.
