Bridge Repair Work Begins On Route 232 In Wrightstown
Motorists can expect weekday periodic 15-minute lane closures through early October on Route 232 between Swamp and Twining roads.

WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — Construction is expected to begin this week on the Route 232 (Second Street Pike) bridge over the Neshaminy Creek in Northampton and Wrightstown townships under a project to repair six bridges in Bucks and Chester counties that sustained damage from the remnants of Hurricane Ida in September 2021.
Motorists can expect weekday periodic 15-minute lane closures through early October on Route 232 (Second Street Pike) between Swamp and Twining roads.
Built in 1982, the 48-foot-wide structure carries an average of 7,264 vehicles per day.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays may occur. The schedule is weather-dependent.
Loftus Construction, Inc. of Cinnaminson, N.J., is the general contractor on the $815,000 bridge rehabilitation project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
