Bucks County's 'Most Haunted House' Opens This Weekend In Newtown

A Halloween attraction being billed as Bucks County's "most haunted house" opens this weekend in Newtown.

Sleepy Hollow, located at 881 Highland Road in Newtown, is a farm that hosts a variety of Halloween attractions. There is a haunted house, called the "House in the Hollow," a Sleepy Hollow hayride and a Field of Fright corn maze.

Attractions will be open for 15 nights beginning this Saturday, Oct. 1. Hours of operation are from 7 to 10 p.m. The attractions are open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October. It will also be open one Thursday, on Oct. 27.

Purchase tickets by 10 p.m. on Friday or Saturday night or by 9 p.m. on Sunday or Thursday to experience all three attractions, the farm says on its website. Click here for information or to buy tickets.

Here's how the haunted house is described: "Quite possibly the most haunted house in Bucks County. Malfate Manor is known by neighborhood children as “The House in the Hollow.” Seventeen rooms plus the family greenhouse and cemetery are open to the public."

If you aren't interested in being scared, or have young children who would be too frightened, there are daytime activities at Sleepy Hollow.

Admission to daytime activities is $15 and includes a hayride to the pumpkin patch, corn maze, inflatable bounce house, children's playground, and a pumpkin. Click here for more information on the daytime activities.
