Celebration To Kick Off Playground Debut In Newtown
The long-awaited debut of Noah's Playground is Saturday. The ribbon will be cut at 11 a.m. Activities and food will follow.

A new playground is certainly something to celebrate — especially after years of hard work by one local family to make it happen.
The ribbon cutting for the opening of Noah’s Playground will be held this Saturday at 11 a.m. and will feature children’s entertainment, activities and food.
The playground will honor 2-month-old Noah Cohen, who passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) in 2010. His parents, Natalie and Jason Cohen, raised more than $55,000 in five years through community yard sales, lemonade stands and other fundraisers to make the playground happen. Newtown’s Open Space bond allocation also helped fund the all-inclusive playground, which features a rubberized surface.
