NEWTOWN, PA — Parents, friends, business owners, and shoppers applauded and cheered wildly along a crowded State Street Tuesday morning as members of the Council Rock High School North Class of 2023 paraded through town.

In a tradition that began during COVID, members of the senior class jumped in their cars and rode through Newtown in the lead-up to graduation day on Thursday at Walt Snyder Stadium.

Their cars and trucks were decorated with their names along with posters and flags bearing the names of their future colleges and universities.

The parade even included a small cow. We're not sure what the story is there, but it was an interesting sight and drew a lot of attention.

This year, 382 seniors will graduate from North with 90.4 percent furthering their education at two- and four-year colleges and universities, 9.1 percent entering the workforce and four students joining the military either ROTC, appointment, or enlistment.
