The Velvet Collar is a new premium mobile grooming brand serving Newtown, Washington Crossing, New Hope, and surrounding Bucks County communities. We’re looking for an experienced professional groomer to join us as our Lead Groomer.

This is an opportunity for an experienced groomer who is ready for the next step in their career. You’ll work independently in a fully equipped modern mobile grooming van, build lasting relationships with clients, and help set the standard for the exceptional grooming experience The Velvet Collar will be known for.

We’re looking beyond technical grooming skills. Our Lead Groomer will be one of the faces of The Velvet Collar, so we’re looking for someone who is personable, polished, professional, dependable, and genuinely enjoys working with both pets and their people.

What You’ll Do:

- Deliver high-quality grooming across breeds, sizes, and coat types

- Provide an exceptional, personalized experience for every client and pet

- Build strong client relationships and encourage rebooking

- Recommend services and add-ons based on each pet’s individual needs

- Complete full grooms independently from start to finish

- Work independently in a fully equipped mobile grooming van

- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional grooming environment

- Help maintain the high standards of quality, care, and service that define The Velvet   

   Collar

- Support future grooming team members as the business grows

Who We’re Looking For:

- Experienced and skilled professional dog groomer

- Strong scissoring, clipping, bathing, drying, and finishing skills

- Comfortable grooming dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments

- Warm, confident, polished, and client-focused

- Comfortable recommending services when they would benefit the pet

- Reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

- Comfortable driving a mobile grooming van

- Previous mobile grooming experience is welcome but not required.
