NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Council Rock community will get a preliminary look at Council Rock School District's comprehensive plan during the next community forum on Wednesday, Feb. 15 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Newtown Middle School at 116 Richboro-Newtown Road.

The plan, which has been in development since November, will guide the district's decision-making for the next three years from 2023 to 2026.

"Part of the planning process includes giving the community a look at the draft plan. The community will be able to do so at the Feb. 15 forum," said Superintendent Dr. Andy Sanko.

Every three years, the Council Rock School District and school districts across the Commonwealth are required by Pennsylvania to update their comprehensive plans.

"The plan is critically important to ensuring that all Council Rock students have access to a world class education that will prepare them for college, career and life," said Sanko. "This plan is created for us to focus on continuous improvement of leadership, teaching and learning. In addition, the community has a significant role in the planning process, as the vision of the community and the input of its citizens is important."
