Council Rock Changes Location of Thursday's Capital Planning Meeting
The meeting was originally scheduled to be held at Newtown Middle School but has been moved to the Chancellor Center.

Thursday’s special meeting to discuss Council Rock’s capital plan has been moved from Newtown Middle School to the Chancellor Center. District officials said the meeting was moved in order to ensure an audible broadcast is transmitted.
The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. It is the final meeting before the Nov. 6 meeting in which the board is scheduled to vote on elements that will be implemented as part of the Capital Plan. Discussions so far have included the potential of closing schools or redistricting.
During last week’s school board meeting, board member Patty Sexton proposed voting to close Wrightstown Elementary School on Nov. 6. It is not clear how much support that proposal has among board members. However, the idea has caused backlash in the community, with residents forming the “Save Wrightstown Elementary School” group to deter the board from selecting that option.
