Council Rock Class Rings Stolen In Buckingham Twp Burglary: Cops
Two Council Rock class rings were stolen in a holiday weekend burglary in Buckingham Township, police said.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Two Council Rock class rings from 1977 and 1980 were stolen during a holiday weekend home burglary in Buckingham Township, authorities said.
The burglary was one of two to occur over the weekend on the same Buckingham Township street. According to police, both residential burglaries occurred on French Drive, which is located off Burnt House Hill Road.
The first incident was reported around 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 1. Authorities said the resident reported hearing a "loud crashing sound."

They left their bedroom to see what it was, and saw a flashlight on the first floor of the home, according to information provided by police. The homeowner went back into the bedroom and locked the door. The suspect then came into the bedroom, forcing the locked door open, police said. At that point, the homeowner yelled at the suspect, who then fled the home.
The victim told police they may have heard a car start after the suspect fled. When officers arrived, they found the back sliding glass door shattered. A check of the residence found nothing missing, police said.

Police conducted a neighborhood canvass, and found a second home was burglarized. In that case, it appeared the burglar climbed through an unlocked sunroom window and then used a patio chair to smash a French door, police said.
The house was "heavily ransacked" and three rings were taken, including a gold wedding band and two Council Rock school rings. The school rings were described as a class of 1977, red stone, and a class of 1980, blue stone, and the initials "MD" inscribed.
