Council Rock Hosts Nationally Recognized Sleep Expert

Dr. Wendy Troxel to present "Snooze or Lose, Promoting Sleep Health in Adolescents" on February 5th

On Wednesday, February 5th, nationally recognized expert on sleep health, Dr. Wendy Troxel, will present Snooze or Lose, Promoting Sleep Health in Adolescents. Dr. Troxel's presentation, which is free and open to the public, starts at 7 P.M. in Newtown Middle School’s Auditorium located at 116 Newtown-Richboro Road, Newtown PA 18940

Dr. Wendy Troxel is Senior Behavioral Scientist at the RAND Corporation and Adjunct Faculty in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. Her work has been widely cited by the media, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Financial Times, ABC World News Tonight, CBS Sunday Morning, NPR, and BBC. Dr. Troxel was also one of the featured sleep experts in the National Geographic “Sleepless in America” documentary and served on the Joint State Government Commission’s Advisory Committee on Secondary School Start Times for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Her TED talk on the impact of school start times on adolescent sleep has received more than 1.8 million views and is at the forefront of national and international conversations on this topic.
