Council Rock North Is Bucks Co.'s Top High School In New Ranking

A new ranking of Pennsylvania's best public high schools has been released, and puts Council Rock North as the best in Bucks County.

Council Rock North was ranked as the number one public high school in Bucks County in a new analysis by data experts at Niche.com. North came in 17th in the state.

Central Bucks South, then Central Bucks East were ranked next in Bucks County, followed by New Hope-Solebury in fourth place. Council Rock South came in fifth in the county, and 29th in the state.

To arrive at the rankings, the schools were given a letter grade in the following categories: academics; teachers; diversity; college prep; clubs & activities; and health & safety. Click here to see full list of the top 100 public high schools in Pennsylvania.

Niche said the grades were created after analyzing data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the rankings and the methodology here.)

Council Rock North got an A or an A+ in every category except for diversity, for which it got a C+.

Niche.com released the list of the best public high schools as part of its 2019 K-12 rankings. Niche also released an analysis of the state's best school districts. You can see that here.

According to Niche's rankings, the best public high school in the country is Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora, Illinois.
