Pennsylvania's Best School Districts: New Rankings Released

Data compiler Niche has ranked Pennsylvania’s best school districts for 2019. The rankings were released this week as part of the website's 2019 K-12 rankings.

To arrive at the rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.)

Each district received a letter grade in the following categories: Academics; Diversity; Teachers; College Prep; Clubs & Activities; Health & Safety; Administration; Sports; Food; and Resources & Facilities.

The top-ranked school district in Pennsylvania is again Tredyffrin-Easttown School District. The district, which is home to the award-winning Conestoga High School, was also ranked first in 2018 and 2017.

Niche gave Tredyffrin-Easttown School District an A or an A+ in all categories except for diversity, for which it received a B-.

Next was Radnor Township School District in Delaware County.

According to Niche, the Jericho Union Free School District in Jericho, New York, is the best school district in the country overall.

With an overall Niche grade of A+, the district received a grade of A+ in academics, teachers, clubs and activities, college prep and health and safety. In the category of diversity, Niche awarded the school district a B+.
