Council Rock School District Autism Awareness Pinwheel Project

Goodnoe Elementary School celebrates Autism Awareness Month by planting pinwheel garden

Inspired by a suggestion from a parent, Goodnoe Elementary School is currently showcasing a very special pinwheel garden to draw attention to Autism awareness. The pinwheel project was supported by Becky O'Hara of the CR Special Services team and dozens of classes who worked diligently to create over 300 handmade pinwheels. Each colorful piece of art, displays key words that connect to Autism awareness which happens to be celebrated during the month of April. With words like, hope, help, and kindness printed on them, the pinwheels are now decorating the front of Goodnoe and spreading beautiful messages in the wind about the importance of understanding and supporting individuals with Autism.
