“We post these photos and provide this information not to strike a debate about bicyclists and cars and who is more rude or more inconsiderate or more at fault. As police, we have seen both act inappropriately. We post this to hopefully give both the motorists and the cyclists pause to think about how sharing the road is of utmost importance. Please drive and ride carefully. We do not want to meet you because of situations like this,” police wrote on the post.

“This accident could have resulted in a death, and no matter who would have been at fault, the weight of that on one’s conscience would be overwhelming. So please, before laying blame, think about what you can do as a rider or driver to be more safe on our roadways, because someone’s life may just depend on it,” police noted.
