Plans for DeLorenzo's Tomato Pies to open a restaurant in Lower Makefield are a "done deal" and construction is imminent, the Yardley News reports.
It was reported in late September the renowned Trenton pizza joint, which has been lauded as one of the best in the country, was having issues with the local supervisors over permit fees and replacement trees.

Allow your appetite to now rejoice: the restaurant and Lower Makefield Township have come to an agreement.
The Lower Makefield supervisors on Wednesday approved the land development agreement, paving the way for the famous pizzeria to open up shop at Yardley-Langhorne and Edgewood roads.

Construction will begin immediately, with a target opening sometime in the summer, the Yardley News reports.
DeLorenzo’s Tomato Pies are famous throughout the region. The pizzeria first opened in Trenton in 1947.
A few years back, DeLorenzo's had considered Newtown for its Bucks County location. But in 2014, the restaurant abandoned its effort to open on Newtown-Yardley Road at the site of the former Newtown Veterinary Hospital. That site is now Margiotti and Kroll Pediatrics.
