Newtown Fireworks July 4, 2017: What You Need To Know
There will be a free fireworks show in Newtown on July 4. Here are the details.

NEWTOWN, PA — Fireworks will be held July 4 in Newtown to celebrate Independence Day. The free show will be held at Veterans Park, located off Rt. 413. The show will start around 9 p.m.
The rain date for the event is July 8.
The fireworks will be launched near the baseball fields, according to organizers.

The Veterans Park Entrance on Rt. 413/Durham Rd. will be closed to prevent traffic issues. Entrance and Parking can be reached via Wrights Rd. into Newtown Elementary and St. Andrews Elementary.
The Greater Newtown Republican Club is organizing the effort.

Newtown's First Fourth event, held annually up until 2016, included a fireworks show at Newtown Middle School. The event was not held last year due to a lack of funding and volunteers. However, for the first time in many years, a display was held at Washington Crossing Historic Park. The park will also be holding fireworks this year on July 2.
