Donut Shop Offers Up Details On Upcoming Newtown Location

NEWTOWN, PA — The owners of Factory Donuts, a new made-to-order donut shop opening in Newtown, have released some mouth-watering details about its upcoming local debut.

The donut shop will open in the Village at Newtown Shopping Center, near Oishi and GNC.

"We like this particular location because we would love to see this plaza become a destination/ lifestyle center where people go to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert. The plaza has been around for a really long time and is going to be the nicest and most updated plaza in all of Newtown," said franchise owner Dave Restituto.

The operators of the shop are Kevin Ferguson and Michael Blaszczyk, and the store is slated to open in mid-December, provided permitting and construction go according to plan.

"We would love for the store to be open before the holiday season to help bring some fresh, made to order deserts to Newtown for holiday parties," Restituto said.

The grand opening celebration will feature entertainment and giveaways. The first 100 guests will receive a free half dozen donuts. Check back for a grand opening date when December gets closer.

Also, if you're going to the Newtown Halloween Parade, keep your eye out for Factory Donut representatives. They'll be handing out free donut cards, and some donut samples.

Online reviewers rave about the place. One Google reviewer called them the "Rolls-Royce of donuts" and gave them five stars. Another person said "phenomenal donuts" and recommends all of the "fresh, tasty" flavors.
