Popular Made-To-Order Donut Shop Opening Newtown Location

Best news all day: a new made-to-order donut shop popular in Philadelphia is opening a location in Newtown.

Buckle up, Newtown because you're in for a treat. A sweet one.

A new donut shop is opening locally. Factory Donuts owner Heather Restituto confirms the donut shop, which has a location in Philadelphia, is expanding to Newtown.

Specifically where remains a secret — for now. "We are finalizing our lease and as soon as that is signed we can disclose the exact location," Restituto said.

A fall opening is planned.

"We are very excited to bring Factory Donuts to Newtown and we anticipate an opening by Thanksgiving. Just in time for hot, fresh, made-to-order donuts," she said.

Factory Donuts is a popular spot in Philadelphia, where patrons line up for creative made-to-order combinations, including maple bacon explosion, s'mores, cookies n' cream, french toast, and blueberry bake. See the full menu here.

Restituto operates the Frankford Avenue location with her husband, David.

Online reviewers rave about the place. One Google reviewer called them the "Rolls-Royce of donuts" and gave them five stars.

Another person said "phenomenal donuts" and recommends all of the "fresh, tasty" flavors. "It was a magnificent and enlightening experience to say the least," another reviewer said, while also giving them five stars. You can see all the Google reviews here.
