Dunkin' Donuts Trimming Its Menu Offerings, Report Says

About 10 percent of menu items are reportedly on the chopping block.

Dunkin' Donuts will be trimming its menu this year and eliminating about 10 percent of items, according to reports. The Boston Herald reports the Massachusetts-based coffee and breakfast chain with locations across Pennsylvania and New Jersey will be eliminating menu items as soon as next month in some locations.

Many items that are time-consuming to make and some that aren't traditionally associated with Dunkin' Donuts are on the chopping block, including smoothies and certain sandwiches, flavor shots (goodbye peach,) and some muffins and bagel/cream cheese combinations, the report said.

The new menu will be available in New England locations in February and all U.S. locations by mid-March.

Dunkin' had already announced it has removed artificial dyes from their doughnuts sold in America, and it will do the same for the rest of the menu by 2019.
