E-Recycling Collection Scheduled In Newtown Township
PAR Recycle Works will be on hand to recycle anything with a plug. Most items will be accepted without charge, but some will require a fee.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Parks & Recreation Department will hold an E-Recycling event on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the township building at 100 Municipal Drive.
PAR Recycle Works will be on hand to recycle anything with a plug. Most items will be accepted without charge, but some will require a fee. Cash is preferred, but credit cards will be accepted.
Participants are asked to pull into the township complex and head straight back around the public works building.

Items accepted without charge include printers, mice, keyboards, audiovisual equipment, phones, speakers, motherboards, hard drives, power supply wire (chargers, connectors), computer batteries, laptops, gaming equipment, routers, servers, floppy disks and docking stations.
Items requiring a fee include older CRT monitors and TVs ($35 to $75 depending on size), flat screen TVs ($20 each), computer monitors ($5 each), air conditioners, dehumidifiers and air purifiers ($30 each) and microwave ovens ($10 each).

PAR-Recycle Works is a nonprofit electronics recycler that provides transitional employment to people returning to the work force from prison. The company deconstructs electronics and destroys data to generate revenue and pay employees. By providing employees with skills and opportunities, PAR-Recycle Works helps to build safer communities and contribute to stronger families while saving taxpayer money.
