Sound of Music Auditions

Newtown Arts Company will hold auditions for ages 5 and up for the classic musical, The Sound of Music on Monday, Oct. 3 and Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Auditions for children, ages 5 through 18 and adults will take place both evenings. Children’s registration takes place at 6 p.m. and auditions begin precisely at 6:30 p.m.

Auditions for adults ages 19 and over will begin with registration at 7 p.m. and auditions following.

Candidates should be prepared to sing something from the show or of the Broadway genre. An accompanist will be provided.  Please bring sheet music; CD accompaniment is discouraged.  Cold read and dance may also be expected at the audition.
