Expect Delays During Funeral Procession For Bucks Officer: Police
Expect delays as the procession travels from St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church to Washington Crossing National Cemetery, beginning around 1:15.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The funeral and procession for a recently deceased Warrington Township officer are Friday afternoon, and will affect traffic from Jamison to Newtown.
Officer Stephen Plum, Jr., an eight-year employee of the department and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps., died on May 16 at the age of 38. During his time as a Bucks County officer, Plum worked with K-9 Murphy. His cause of death has not yet been released.
Wrightstown police said to expect delays as the procession travels from St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church to Washington Crossing National Cemetery, from about 1:15-1:45 p.m.

- Eastbound Almshouse Road
- Left onto Rushland Road, continuing onto Swamp Road
- Bear left onto Penns Park
- Right on Rt 413 (Durham Road)South
- Left on Wrightstown Road
- Right onto Highland Road, to the cemetery entrance on left
Born in Abington, Officer Plum was the son of Leslie Watt and Stephen C. Plum, Sr., a retired Hatboro Police Office. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he served for four years and earned the rank of Corporal. He served as a rifleman with the 2nd LAR Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, and was deployed to Iraq; during this time, he earned the Combat Action Ribbon and other awards.

A GoFundMe that was set up to support his wife Nancy and their five children has raised almost $65,000 as of Friday afternoon. Plum's children Andrew, Aiden, Wyatt, Emmet, and Francesca range in age from 14 years to 18 months, the department said. He and his family resided in Warwick Township for the past six years.
In lieu of flowers, organizers of the funeral ask that memorial contributions be sent to the Warrington Police Department K-9 Unit, 2330 Lower Barnes Road, Warrington, PA 18976, or to the Throw Away Dogs Project.
Plum will be buried with full military honors.
