A liquor license transfer request by a new wine bar and restaurant looking to open up in Newtown Township has been delayed until May.

Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar's liquor license transfer request has been pushed back until the May 25 township supervisors meeting, according to township documents. The restaurant was originally seeking the transfer during a March supervisors meeting but, at the request of the applicant, the item was continued.

The restaurant, which specializes in low-calorie, seasonal food, is seeking to open a 6,425 square-foot restaurant in the Village at Newtown Shopping Center.

CEO Dave Magrogan said he's hoping to open in October in the portion of the shopping center previously occupied by Margiotti & Kroll Pediatrics, pending all approvals.

According to its website, Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar offers an under 500-calorie, seasonally changing, local farm-to-table menu, plus more than 50 wines by the glass, seasonal cocktails and local beer.

"Every three months Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar changes the menu to reflect the change of the seasons. Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar works with 75 local farmers to source the freshest and highest quality products available," its website says.

Menu items include flatbreads, appetizers, vegetarian dishes, seafood, salads, sandwiches and more.

The restaurant says it prides itself on a sustainable and organic approach. That includes its ingredients, cleaning products, paper products and even recycled glass bar tops. "We are a truly a green concept," the restaurant says on its website.

The restaurant concept was created in 2010. Currently, there are five locations, including Philadelphia, Glen Mills, North Wales, Harrisburg and Moorsetown, N.J. A location is opening soon in Radnor.
