NEWTOWN, PA — Santa will be boarding a Newtown fire truck on Saturday, Dec. 17 for a pre-Christmas ride through town.

The Newtown Fire and Emergency Services will have the honor of escorting the man of the hour through Newtown Borough and Newtown Township beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until 8 p.m.

"Santa will be giving his reindeer a rest as he prepares for his big Christmas ride," said firefighters. "So instead of a sleigh, he'll be riding through town on one of our fire engines. So when you hear the sirens and all the commotion, please come to the main roads to help welcome Santa."
