Former Council Rock Teacher Sentenced For Sex With Student
Former Council Rock North High School teacher Jesse Oberto will serve jail time for a sexual relationship with a student in 2015 and 2016.

A former Council Rock North High School teacher has been sentenced for having a sexual relationship with a student in 2015 and 2016.
Jesse Oberto, 38, of Levittown was sentenced Friday to one to 23 months in jail after admitting he had sexual contact with the student, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.
Oberto, a math teacher, was charged last July by Newtown Township Police.

The district confirmed he worked as a teacher for the school district from 2003 through 2015.
District officials said they were not notified of or aware of the relationship between Oberto and the student until June of 2017 year after the police investigation was underway.

"Council Rock has cooperated fully with local police and will continue to do so. Our students' safety and welfare is our highest priority and we are shocked and disturbed to learn of these allegations," the district said when the charges were filed.
The investigation began after a tip to the Bucks County Children & Youth Childline hotline, police said.
