Former PA Gov. Endorses Ryan Gallagher For State Rep.

Former Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiker has endorsed Gallagher for the seat representing the 31st District.

Ryan Gallagher, Republican candidate for State Representative in the 31st District, has earned the endorsement of former Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiker.

Schweiker is a former Bucks County Commissioner. He was elected Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania and became Governor when Tom Ridge was named Director of Homeland Security.

“Ryan Gallagher has proven his ability to focus on getting results instead of playing partisan games. He is the type of independent, effective leader that the people of Bucks County expect in their elected officials,” Schweiker said. “There in no doubt that Ryan will be a strong voice as Representative, making a positive impact on issues important to local families and seniors.”

Gallagher has served four years as a Newtown Township Supervisor, including as chairman in 2015.

“I am honored that Governor Schweiker has joined our team and endorsed my campaign. The fact that someone who is so well known, trusted, and respected by the people of the 31st District is supporting my candidacy sends a strong message to voters as to what kind of Representative I will be for them.”
