Fundraiser Launched For Woman Who Dropped Cash In Upper Makefield
A fundraiser has been started for a woman who dropped cash in an Upper Makefield parking lot on the anniversary of her husband's death.

NEWTOWN, PA — The community has stepped up to help a woman who dropped a "large sum" of money in the parking lot of an Upper Makefield bank earlier this month. According to police, the woman dropped the money on Oct. 3 at the Santander Bank bank parking lot in Washington Crossing.
"It was the anniversary of her husband’s death, so she had a lot on her mind" and did not realize until later she had dropped the money, according to police.
She has been unable to find the money, despite searching for it ever since.

But the Newtown community has stepped in to help. Isaac Newton's restaurant, located in Newtown Borough, has launched a GoFundMe page for the woman. They're trying to raise $3,200 to help her make up for the lost money.
"When we saw the amount of community members commenting about how they could help but unsure of where to begin, we thought we’d get the ball rolling," the restaurant said on the fundraising page.

According to the Isaac Newton's employees that launched the page, the woman is "the sweetest person and a friend of ours."
"We know she would do the same in return, so we would love to rally the community to help her out."
