Gun Fired Inside Home; Unruly Man Tased: Warrington Police Report
The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests on July 20, 26 and 27
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests on July 20, 26 and 27:
July 20
- Police responded to the 1200 block of Palomino Drive for the report of an armed subject and shots fired. Upon arrival, police secured the residence. The investigation revealed that a 48-year-old man had became upset and fired a handgun inside the home. The bullet went through two rooms that were occupied at the time. No occupant of the house was injured during the incident. The man was arrested and arraigned by Judge Wertman who set bail at $100,000 unsecured.
July 26

- Police were on patrol in the area of Easton Road and County Line Road when they observed a vehicle with multiple equipment violations. The vehicle was stopped and officers detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and found narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Philadelphia, was placed under arrest and transported to the station where he was processed and released.
July 27
- Police responded to the Regal Cinema for the report of a fight in progress. Upon arrival police located a 24-year-old man from Warrington who was highly intoxicated and who witnesses reported had assaulted an employee. Police said the man was highly agitated and began to yell and curse at police. When police attempted to de-escalate the situation, the man became more aggressive. Police said the man attempted to push past police and attack bystanders while in the parking lot. Officers ultimately used a taser to control the man, who was taken into custody. Officers opted to have him transported to the hospital, but while attempting to place the man onto a stretcher he continued to resist and slammed his head into an officer’s face. The man was transported to the hospital and released a short time later. He was transported to the station where he was processed and arraigned. Judge Gallagher set bail at $20,000 unsecured. The man was transported to his residence and released.
