July 4th Fireworks Planned At Washington Crossing Park
For the first time in at least 20 years, there will be fireworks at Washington Crossing Park on July 4.

July 4, 2016 will be a special Independence Day in Bucks County.
Washington Crossing Historic Park has announced that this year, there will be fireworks at the park.
What better place to celebrate the nation's freedom than the very site where George Washington led his army across the Delaware River on Christmas night in 1776, catching the British troops off guard in Trenton. The battle there proved to be pivotal during the Revolutionary War.

The Independence Day celebration at Washington Crossing Historic Park will be held on July 4 beginning at noon. Fireworks are free will start at dusk and will be visible in the large field near the Visitor Center on River Road.
The last time the park had fireworks on the Fourth of July was at least 20 years ago, park officials tell Patch.

The celebration will include demonstrations by living historians, historic building tours and a military encampment reenactment. A reading of the Declaration of Independence will be held at noon.
Admission to the day-time events is $8 for adults (age 12 and over), $4 for children (ages 5-11) and free for children under age five.
All proceeds support educational and historical programming in the park.
