Local Fire Departments To Escort Santa Around Newtown

Local fire companies will bring Santa around town this month. You'll know Santa is near when you hear sirens. Here are dates and details:

NEWTOWN, PA — Fire departments in the Newtown area will once again be escorting Santa around the area.

NEWTOWN FIRE ASSOCIATION

The Newtown Fire Association will be taking Santa on a tour of the town on Saturday, Dec. 22. His tour will start at 8 am. An estimated schedule will be posted before the event. "Remember to get to a corner of a main street when you hear us," the Fire Association advises.

UPPER MAKEFIELD FIRE COMPANY

Upper Makefield Fire Company will host its Santa Parade and Food Drive on Sunday, Dec. 23. Santa's tour starts at 10 a.m. He'll finish up at the firehouse at 1221 Taylorsville Road for pictures between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.

The fire company will be collecting non-perishable food donations for the Penndel Food Pantry. The Penndel Food Pantry is in need of canned and boxed food items (no glass containers). To donate food, stop by the firehouse between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. or during the Santa photo shoot.

Everyone who stops at the firehouse and donates will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a $100 gift card. The drawing will be held after the photographs. Click here for more information.

LINGOHOCKEN FIRE COMPANY

Members of the Lingohocken Fire Company will be escorting Santa during an event on Saturday, Dec. 22. Santa will begin making his way around the area served by Lingohocken starting at 2 p.m.
