"A Love For Life" To Raise Funds For Research On Market Day
Look for the volunteers in front of the Newtown Hardware House at 108 South State Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A Love For Life, a Newtown-based pancreatic cancer research charity, will be selling cookies, mini-root beer floats and limited edition Newtown Hardware House vintage-style postcards during Saturday's Market Day celebration in Newtown Borough.
Look for the volunteers in front of the Newtown Hardware House at 108 South State Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1. The store is located just down the street from Market Day activities, which will be taking place at the intersection of Court Street and Centre Avenue.
Newtown Hardware House has been serving the Bucks County community for 153 years. For the past 10 years it has been owned by Bill and Meg Newell. During that time, the Newell's have partnered with A Love for Life for many holiday “Jingle Mingle” charity shopping days and have donated a percentage of the profit of each bag of their world famous cookies directly to the researchers at the Abramson Cancer Center in Philadelphia.

Donations to A Love for Life are welcome and volunteers from the organization and its president, Christine Edmonds, will be on hand to share information and news about upcoming events, including its annual Oktoberfest to be held the following Friday, October 7.
